  • Explore the area to see Christmas displays and lights. Some ideas:
  • Westlake Mall – Tree, decorations, and carousel (4th and Pike)
  • Nordstroms always has nice decorations, at 5th and Pine.
  • Macy’s store decorations; their star and window train is at 4th and Stewart. Santaland is on the 6th floor
  • It SNOWS in the Pacific Place Mall atrium at 6 pm (7th and Pine) Entertainment today: 12PM-2PM: Deems Tsutakawa, Holiday Jazz Pianist 5PM-7PM: Phinney Ridge Lutheran Gospel Choir. Santa is on Level 2
  • Fairmont Olympic Hotel – Beautiful 25 foot noble fir tree and elegant decorations in main lobby. The Teddy Bear Suite is fun. Donations to Children’s Hospital. Located at 4th and University.
  • Sheraton Hotel – Gingerbread Village. Annual fundraiser for JDRF. 1400 6th Ave. (6th Avenue between Pike and Union)
  • Take the Monorail from the top floor of the Westlake Mall to Winterfest at the Seattle Center. Big draw: a model train and turn-of-the century village in the Armory. Take turns being the train conductor from 1 – 2:30 or 3:30 – 5:30. Student musical groups play all day in the Armory.
  • Ideas of where to eat: Westlake Mall Food Court, Pacific Place (7th and Pine) has several restaurants. Fancy and elegant: Fairmont Hotel.
  • Figgy Pudding pre-event starts at 5:30 at the Westlake Center. Teams compete on street corners around the Westlake Mall from 6:15 – 7:15 pm.
  • Depart Seattle on 2nd Avenue at Stewart at 6:50 pm (Meet at the bus stop at 6:40)Arrive at Highway 512 Park and Ride at 8:17 pm
