Northbound Trip, July 9th:

  • Depart from Olympia Transit Center at 7:35 am

Arrive at Highway 512 Park and Ride (in Lakewood) at 8:25 am

  • Depart from Highway 512 Park and Ride at 8:35 am

Arrive in Seattle at 4th and Jackson at 9:43 am (Restroom break at Union Station)

  • Depart at 4th Avenue South and Jackson Street at 10:08 am

Arrive at Everett Station at Bay A4 at 11:10 am

Arrive at Mukilteo Ferry Dock, at 11:55 pm

  • State Ferry to Clinton, Leave at 12:30 pm

20 minute crossing; arrive in Clinton at 12:50 pm

  • Depart Clinton Ferry Dock at 1:15 pm

Island Transit, Route 1 (No fare!)

Arrive in Coupeville, on Coveland across from gas station at 2:10 pm


Coupeville is an historic Whidbey Island town with many buildings dating from the mid to late 1800s.  There is excellent shopping along Front Street near Penn Cove.  (Penn Cove is also the site of a well-known mussel farm where the shellfish are grown on ropes dangling from rafts in the cove. Penn Cove mussels are highly prized among gourmet restaurants along the west coast.)

At the visitors’ center at the corner of Alexander and Front Street you can get brochures detailing a walking tour of the town which has many well preserved and maintained Victorian era houses.

Kapaws Iskreme – Ice cream – 21 Front St.

Island So. Historical Society Museum – 986 N. Alexander St. (at the foot of the Coupeville Wharf).  Senior admission:  $2.50





  • Depart Coupeville at 3:40 pm, at gas station on Coveland

Island Transit, Route 6  (No fare!)

Arrive at Pt. Townsend Ferry Dock at 4:00 pm


  • State Ferry to Pt. Townsend, Leave at 4:15 pm

35 minute crossing; arrive in Pt. Townsend at 4:50 pm

Adult Fare:  $3.25    Senior (65 and older) – $1.60

Arrive at Haines Place Park and Ride at 1:46 pm

Day pass Adult Fare:  $1.50     RRFP:  $1.00


  • Depart Haines Place Park and Ride at 2:00 pm

Arrive at Halfway House restaurant at 3:07 pm; Cross highway to the Brinnon Store

No charge (use day pass)


  • Depart from Brinnon Store at 3:15 pm

Mason Transit Route 8

Arrive at Shelton Civic Center at 4:35 pm
