Discontinued service southbound from Tumwater
We just received word from our transit-riding advocate and friend, Eric Swensson, that the Lower Columbia Community Action Program no longer connects Tumwater to the southern part of our state. Here is Eric’s message:
According to their website ( http://www.lccac.org/ ), effective Monday, August 15, 2011, the Lower Columbia Community Action Program “CAP”) service from Longview will no longer travel as far north as Tumwater. Instead, it will only go as far north as Chehalis, before heading back to Longview. There is no word on any direct connecting service between Thurston County and Lewis County which will be available to the general public, except Greyhound ($11 one way between Olympia and Centralia) and Amtrak ($10 one way between Lacey and Centralia).
