A grand start to the New Year…
January 2nd was an unusually bright-blue-sky and sunny day… a day when you’re grateful to be a resident of the Greater Puget Sound area.
My friend Norma and I caught the Sound Transit 594 bus from the Lakewood Station (exit 125 off Interstate 5) at 10:30. Since we were leaving the driving to someone else, we had lots of time to catch up, laugh, and generally relax. We got off the bus at 4th and Union in downtown Seattle at about 11:45.
Our first agenda item was to eat lunch. Our destination was Cutters Bayhouse, located at the north end of Pike Place Market (2001 Western Avenue; www.cuttersbayhouse.com) We decided our number one priority for lunch was the view… we wanted to capture as much of our glorious sunshine as possible; complete with views of Elliott Bay, Mt. Rainier, AND the Olympic Mountains.
